Round trip to Reno with only 200 miles charge on Model 3

Great sight seeing while driving while going up to Reno from Roseville California.

This is important and great as we are going up in the mountains and higher consumptions on electric car can mean bad news.

Fair warning this is a long videos about the long range all wheel drive Tesla Model 3 with only about 200 miles of charge. But we could almost say 200 miles of range. By the way it was a 2 hour drive.

2019 Bmw X7 drive and sport mode

This video is about 2019 Bmw X7 xdriv 40i with the M-sport package and stay tune for sport mode driving.
A quick drive experience with the all new 2019 BMW X7. We are also going to show acceleration of the vehicle on the sport drive.

Beautiful live cockpit by BMW and I do appreciate that feature for this vehicle. The live cockpit changes a bit when you put it in sport mode.

The traffic jam assistance was a great experience and this will be quite a great feature for long trip. It does reduce driver fatigue on a longer drive, so I recommend that you should drive it with that feature on.

The head up display is very customizabe and pleasing to look at.

Why you should pay your house off early and not your car.

The benefit of paying off house early





Although, you wouldn't want to just put all you money on the house at once but here is what I am saying.

Please comment your thoughts and I am very interested in what you think also.

Here is an example:

2 loans at $434,000 one at 30 year and one at 15 year.

respectively without taxes and insurance and same rates
their monthlies payments are: $1,753 and $2,660

Most people would consider the first option right.
It does make sense they would do and I would do that too.




But we don't consider the interest.
Here are the interest paid at the end of each loan respectively and they are:
$280,959 and $128,732.

Figure below is from Numbers app and the template loan comparison from an apple computer.

You can plug in car loans and credit cards and they are the same type of calculations.

Base on the difference of $152,000 about that you would paid for the interest, I would rather pay toward owning the house versus paying that much in interest.

Would you rather pay more in principal toward the house?

The banks wants you pay 30 year to keep you payment low and less risky.

It is so true you could still get 30 year and pay it down in 15 year.

If you have to rent the house for some reason, you could have the bank recalculate your payments.

That is where it is beneficial to you also. You paid half the house in 7 years with a low interest and now instead the rent just covering your mortgage, you can now earn a positive cashflow even if the value of the home remain the same.

If in seven years and six months, you paid half your principal down. You now have options.

1. Recalculate your morgage and lower payments.
2. Continue paying down principal for the remainder.
3. With the lower payment rent your house and make an income as well as buying another house.

BMW X7 Useful parking assistance feature...3 great features you didn't know you need

2019 BMW X7 parking assistance solution


On the video below, you are going to see a demonstration of the parking assistance pro package on the BMW X7.

The back up camera with with the 3D view or top view. This feature is great with the parking at the shopping mall where you would need that extra space between the two cars and the front or the back. You can now get close to an object without worries.

You also will briefly see the front wide view camera in action. The used in the real world application where in an intersection, where your view is block by a bush or scrub in the side walk and you are not able to see incoming traffic.
That problem has been solve by the front camera on the BMW X7 or any BMW with the parking assistance features package or options. Now this camera which is place in front of the car can be access by a button and give you that view whenever you want.






You also have a back up assistance which is amazing. This feature track the last 100 or so and remember your pathway and can backup to the exact path you took. Since the vehicle is great for travel and you might find a time where the road can only take one car on scenic stretch of your route. So now you can backup to a safe spot using the same pathway you just took when you activate it.

Automated parking assistance is going the most used feature of all. It will track an empty parking spot and suggest it as potential parking spot and it can handle that spot.

YouTuber Richard Wilson made a great video but you have to watch it till about 5 to 10 minutes in to see the wow moment.

To summarize the most interesting and unknown as well as unsuspecting consumption hog device you may not know.

He has the example of the Cable Box which as you know for TV consumptions, it is about 100 watt consumptions per hour and total consumption is watt hour. In other words just watt is just a rate of consumption over time and watt hour is the total consumption.



Back to cable box, the consumption sticker will say only 120 volt and 5 amps which equal to 600 watt. So for an hour, it is 600 watt hour and 2 hours about 1,200 watt hour and so on, to illustrate for only the box not TV.

So if you leave the Box powed on all day long and does not go to sleep or standby, you could be paying a lot of money on your electric bills. It could be costing you up to $86 per month based on 10 cent per kilowatt hour electricity rate.

This does hit home for me because it is the same theory with my computer three screens and 8 core proccessor, which the standby mode is 150 watts but when it is awake it is about 400 watts or more. The consumption is per hour.

Imagine you have two of the cable boxes according to the video below by Richard Wilson title name I cut my eclectic bill by 1/3 by doing nothing.

There are some devices to help you understand your consumptions and they are seachable throught good. Basicly a watt meter or the product name sense.

The feature is going to be so useful at very busy shopping malls.

Maybe, my personal dream, the cars will get a great major improvement and have the ability to pickup someone at the airport while the owner is at work or at home if too busy.
